This vessel is reminiscent of a house, or even a world unto itself. The internal imagery reflects scenes from the World Park and Window of the World. Both venues, established around the early 2000s after the Chinese economic reform, juxtapose architectural styles from various nations and times. Once bustling attractions, they now primarily host elderly individuals accompanying children – a testament to changing times and tastes.
Drawing inspiration from 17th-century European palace art, the artwork’s interior mirrors the dense, proximate hanging of paintings within such palaces. Not all these palace paintings were meant for admiration; many were hung high, barely visually approachable, to create an aura of grandeur rather than for detailed viewing.
