The paving of this small circular square began in the 16th century in St. Peter's Square, with each sector forming about the width of the artisan's two arms, meaning the human body structure constrains its production. The work consists of 1,200 marble blocks, each with my handprint on the surface, visualizing the otherwise invisible relationship of hand pressure and, at the same time, creating an analogy between human skin and earth skin.
